You Know I Want It!

At this moment we are working hard on recording our new album and we are very happy to tell you that the first effort of those recordings has already been broadcasted several hundreds of times on television! ‘You Know I Want It‘ is part of the new Lay’s chips commercial! You’ve probably seen this commercial a few times but in case you’ve been living under a stone, find TV a pagan product or just can’t get enough of it, here it is:

Other joyful news is that our second music video ‘Sabotage’ is accepted for the MTV music video prize of the National Film Festival! Still a long way to go, but it’s a good start! Last year we were also nominated in the same catagory with masterpiece ‘Hey Girl’ but we didn’t take the award home. But two times the charm and Sabotage is just brutal so let’s go and get this award!!

After a nice quiet summer period, it’s time for Daybroke to get started again. While the past year has brought us many wonderful things (like shows at the huge Zwarte Cross festival and as support act for Triggerfinger and Taylor Hawkins, a few nice visits to the 3FM studio and of course the release of our debut album What Nature Started), the real year of truth is here for us now!
Reviews of the album are all pretty positive, the gig calendar is expanding rapidly and the new single with amazing video is about to come out. In short, eternal fame and excessive wealth are just a matter of time!

3FM Freaknight with Daybroke

Hello everybody!
The avid radio listeners may already have noticed: in the night from Friday to Saturday we have visited the well known Radio 3FM studio for the third time in two weeks! After Miranda van Holland, Marijke Roskam and Eric Corton, top DJ Gerard Ekdom now had the honor to receive Holland’s hottest band in the studio.
It was a very nice night, we laughed a lot (especially because of a news story about a woman and a toilet brush), we played 4 songs, and got lots of positive comments!
Our visit to the 3FM studio was also broadcasted live on national television, so check out the live version of Sing My Song:
Next week we have no less than four shows, so if you have a night off -> come check us!

“What Nature Started” is coming!
Mar 9th
The release of our debut album “What Nature Started” is starting to get really close now! The first (laudatory!) review is available (check it here – in Dutch), the single ‘Hey Girl’ is getting airplay at KX Radio and Kink FM among others, and the preparations for the release party on April 2nd are in full swing.
We would also like to take the opportunity to knight Roald Jansen in the order of Daybroke (yes, it exists), for the great artwork he has created for us! As we reported a while ago, the four elements form the basis of the artwork for What Nature Started. Even though you all probably have already pre-ordered the new album and it’s this close to being delivered on your door mat one of these days, we would like to share with you an online sneak-preview of Roald’s amazing artwork! (Take a look!)
Again, Roald thanks for all the hard work and your creative mind, you’re a king, and we all take a deep bow to our Next-Top models Kishaya and Liam!
“What Nature Started” release party!

Hey! First we want to thank everyone for the tremendous amount of enthusiastic responses we have received for the Hey Girl video! Very cool to see that you all seem to appreciate it! For anyone who has not seen it yet, be sure to check it out:
There is more good news from the DAYBROKE camp: our first album What Nature Started is finished and will be in stores from March 26th! Because we’d love to celebrate this milestone with all our friends, fans and other interested people, we are happy to invite you to our Release Party on Friday, April 2nd at Tilburg’s 013! Entrance to this already legendary party is completely free, so make sure you can later tell your children where you’ve been on April 2nd, 2010…
This show is also the kickoff of a series of performances to promote our album. In the coming weeks, we will announce these shows one by one, so keep an eye on the site and check whether we will soon be playing in your area!
Finally, for the real fans there is the opportunity to pre-order the album at our website. You will receive a free mp3 instantly! Do you think March 26th is a really long wait, then of course you can now go to iTunes to download the Hey Girl single!
